The charismatic frontman and three instrumental virtuosos who comprise Johnny Drama are musical magicians. This wildly eclectic band moves seamlessly between classic and modern rock, pop, dance and hip-hop, shape-shifting from “Jump”-era Van Halen on one song to Kings of Leon the next; from vintage new wave bands like Eurythmics and the Human League, through the ’80s (Guns N’ Roses) and ’90s (Rage Against the Machine), to right-now faves like Foo Fighters and Kevin Rudolf. Along with their withering power chords and thundering drums, the band also manages to uncannily recreate the full sonic spectrum, blending in songs from the likes of Bell Biv DeVoe, Michael Jackson, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Flo Rida and even Lady Gaga. Johnny Drama possesses breathtaking energy and magnetic stage presence, as lead vocalist/MC Nate refuses to be confined to the stage, working the room with a potent combo of urgency and charm.
